How much is the fish?

Film Academy Baden-Württemberg reveals why you should never buy "smelly" products.

Hanna Seidel, activist and directing student at the renowned Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, shows in her latest spot for CodeCheck that social commitment and advertising need not be mutually exclusive.

The film A Fished up Life had already won the Caligari Award from the Filmakademie in the conception phase and the Filmakademie team now hopes to reach many people with the short film.

Hanna Seidel is studying advertising direction at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg. Despite her time-consuming studies, she started the change.org campaign, “#stopupskirting in Germany” in 2019 and brought it to success. Also, cinematically, social commitment is important to Seidel and her team because they want their work to leave a positive footprint, which is often missing in advertising. During her research for companies with purpose, Hanna came across Codecheck.

“At film school, we can still choose who we want to advertise. We wanted to support a company with advertising that wants to improve something for people," says Hanna, who uses the app herself.
